For racing simulation enthusiasts, January 16, 2025 marks a historic milestone. Assetto Corsa EVO will launch into early access on Steam, developed by Kunos Simulazioni Studios.
At release, players can expect 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite its early access status, the developers assure impressive physics, handling, and authentic vehicle behavior from day one.
A standout feature will be the free-ride mode. A major summer 2025 update is planned, introducing roads surrounding the legendary Nürburgring circuit. The fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers and expand over time.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to set a new standard in automotive simulation, rivaling established franchises like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport with its photorealistic visuals and sophisticated physics engine.
At launch, Assetto Corsa EVO is projected to feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with additional content arriving through free updates. Each circuit replicates real-world conditions—from rolling tires to wet asphalt—while animated crowds enhance immersion.
The development team has refined vehicle dynamics, suspension damping, and shock absorption for greater realism. The Driving Academy mode will challenge players to master select tracks within time limits. This single-player experience, available in Early Access, rewards skilled drivers with licenses to unlock premium cars.
