Murderer: Show your knife before using it! Innocents will mark you if they see your weapon. The sheriff will see these marks and shoot you, even if you hide your knife. Your goal: kill everyone without getting killed.

Sheriff: Chase the murderer but avoid accidentally killing innocents – you'll die too! Listen for marks from innocents to help you track the killer.

Innocent: Survive as long as possible! Collect coins and mark the murderer if you spot them – this helps the sheriff!
