A Knight's Tale: A Walkthrough of Honkai: Star Rail's "The Last Knight" Side Quest
The Last Knight is a side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region, offering a charming, smaller-scale adventure compared to the main storyline. It provides a glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and rewards players with valuable resources. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough.
Starting the Quest
To begin, complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline, specifically the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. Many side quests in Rinascita are locked until this point. After completion, locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road and marked with a blue quest marker.
The Night Reveries
This stage involves a "Night Reveries" performance centered around a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. The Mad Knight is not a particularly challenging enemy.
Mimic Chests
After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower in Egla Town and fly to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Interacting with the flower transports you to an area with several chests. Three chests are genuine; only one of the subsequent chests is real, the others are mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left. Defeat the mimics after opening the chest.
The Knight's Trail and the Strange Scent
Next, investigate the reported locations visited by the "legendary" knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.
After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby mentions a strange scent. Follow the marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is highly recommended for this fight, allowing you to parry and stun the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the truth about the "knight" legend.
Find Carlow
Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He's being mocked by knights. Carlow's reaction and decision to duel conclude the quest. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and other resources as rewards.
