Get ready for a Timewalking marathon! World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns until February 24th. Players can earn exciting new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience boost. Complete the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and claim the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.
Initially launched in September 2023, the Turbulent Timeways event previously featured five weeks of Timewalking. This enhanced version expands the fun, offering a full seven weeks of chronological Timewalking adventures. The event brings back the popular stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons.
The Timewalking Tour: A Week-by-Week Breakdown
The seven-week journey through WoW's history begins with Mists of Pandaria and concludes with Cataclysm. Here's the complete schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Each week presents the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, along with the opportunity to earn the Mastery of Timeways buff. For those who missed out last time, the Sandy Shalewing pet is back! Timewalking vendors have also added permanent items to their inventory, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will reward players with Heroic gear throughout the event.
Rewards and Hints at Future Content
Securing the Mastery of Timeways buff for at least five weeks grants the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and its awesome Timely Buzzbee mount reward. The Cache of Nerubian Treasures, awarded for completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest, will also yield Heroic-level gear during the Turbulent Timeways event.
This extended Timewalking extravaganza follows the recent 20th-anniversary event, resulting in an impressive 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking! Furthermore, the Turbulent Timeways' end date (February 24th) strongly suggests the imminent arrival of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, likely launching on February 25th, aligning with Blizzard's typical release schedule and accounting for the holiday season. This sets the stage for a jam-packed start to 2025 in Azeroth, with Undermined following the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th-February 17th) and the first major content update for The War Within.
