World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates
World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and pursue the elusive Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.
Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal. Specifically, they are located in the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the stairs leading to Foundation Hall. Alyx maintains their clue board, providing hints to locate 11 missing Celebration Crates scattered throughout the world.
Obtaining the Detective Title:
- Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal, as described above.
- Gather the Crates: Follow the clues on Alyx's board to discover the 11 Celebration Crates. Note: Players must be at least level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests, but level 68 is required to access Dornogal.
- Claim Your Rewards: Return six crates to Alyx for the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, and all 11 crates to earn "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and the crucial Detective title. The Detective title unlocks the Incognitro mount questline.
Important Note: While the Detective title and Incognitro mount quest remain accessible, other Guest Relations quests and achievements from the anniversary event are no longer available. This includes the "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats" achievements, and their associated rewards.
This strategic move by Blizzard ensures players won't be permanently locked out of obtaining this rare mount, despite the anniversary event's conclusion. While the complete Guest Relations storyline is unavailable, the core elements needed for the Detective title and Incognitro mount remain accessible indefinitely.
