Warner Bros. Discovery Confirms Hogwarts Legacy Sequel
A Sequel Expected Within a Few Years
With over 24 million copies sold since its release, Hogwarts Legacy has proven to be a massive success. Warner Bros. Discovery CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels, announced the sequel plans during the Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, as reported by Variety.
Wiedenfels stated, "Developing a successor to Hogwarts Legacy is undoubtedly a top priority for us in the next couple of years. We anticipate significant growth from our games business, and this sequel will play a key role in that."
Earlier this year, David Haddad of Warner Bros. Games highlighted the game's remarkable replayability in an interview with Variety. He noted, "Many players have revisited the game multiple times," emphasizing its lasting appeal beyond initial sales figures. Haddad expressed pride in how Hogwarts Legacy "brought Harry Potter to life in a fresh way for gamers, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the world and story."
This immersive experience, Haddad believes, is the key reason for the game's phenomenal success, stating, "It's a position usually occupied by sequels from established franchises, and we're incredibly proud to have achieved this."
Game8 was particularly impressed by Hogwarts Legacy's stunning visuals, calling it the most visually captivating Harry Potter experience available. For a detailed review, please see our link below!
