World of Warships: Blitz has launched its 8.2 update, introducing high-speed naval warfare with exciting new features. The highlight of this update is the Turbo Strike mode, accompanied by several other significant additions. Let's dive into the details.
What's Turbo Strike?
The new Turbo Strike mode revolutionizes gameplay by introducing respawn mechanics - a first for the game. Commanders can now return to battle immediately after their ships are destroyed. Victory is still achieved by reaching 1,000 points or completing a full base capture, but Turbo Strike features a unique dedicated map and continuous power-ups.
Randomized airdrop buffs appear at fixed intervals and can be stacked up to four times. Achieving three consecutive kills grants access to a controllable missile with minor steering capability before impact. Each ship class also receives special Turbo Strike-exclusive attribute enhancements.
Update 8.2 introduces the innovative Variable Torpedoes mechanic, rewarding aggressive playstyles. These torpedoes deal maximum damage within 0-6 km range, with damage gradually decreasing to 60% at maximum 12 km distance.
French Navy Arrives in World of Warships: Blitz
The update finally welcomes French destroyers to the game, starting with the Tier V L'Adroit - a balanced vessel combining firepower, torpedoes, and excellent mobility.
Higher-tier ships like the stealthy Tier VII Le Hardi and the powerful Tier IX Orage maintain this design philosophy with improved concealment, acceleration, and close-quarters combat effectiveness.
From Tier VII onward, these destroyers feature Variable Torpedoes along with the Emergency Engine Accelerator - a special skill that boosts acceleration, deceleration, and top speed by 25% for 10 seconds.
The update also introduces the Maine, a formidable new Supership. The game is available for download on the Google Play Store.
