What is the story of Katana Dragon?
You are thrust into the cursed world of Sogen, which desperately needs two unlikely heroes. Players take on the roles of the ninjas Shin and Nobi, whose simple mission quickly escalates into a conflict of much greater scale.
A straightforward delivery task rapidly transforms into a perilous journey. The adventure begins when a spreading curse transforms their Sensei and surrounding villagers into spectral forms.
As the only ones left untouched by the curse, Shin and Nobi must shoulder the quest to uncover the truth. They are guided by their ghostly Sensei across the entirety of Sogen, exploring its villages, towns, mountains, and remote islands.
The tale traces back a thousand years to when a dragon laid waste to Sogen. Five monks eventually sealed the beast within a glass prison using their collective Ki. Centuries later, the dragon shattered its confinement, unleashing chaos once again.
A legendary swordsmith named Katamune forged the Katana Dragon sword from fragments of the shattered prison. This empowered the young samurai Cideyasu with the weapon needed to confront the beast. Their hard-won victory should have secured lasting peace, but it merely postponed the looming danger.
