In-app purchases will be disabled starting August 23rd, 2024, but players can continue playing until October 21st, 2024, when the servers will be permanently shut down.
The exact reasons for the shutdown remain undisclosed. However, NetherRealm's recent closure of its mobile games division (which also handled Mortal Kombat Mobile and Injustice) suggests a potential shift in the company's mobile gaming strategy.
