Get ready, Call of Duty: Warzone players! The much-anticipated return of the beloved Verdansk map is almost here. March 10th, 2025, is the date revealed by a countdown timer appearing in the Call of Duty shop (thanks, InsiderGaming). Activision initially promised a spring 2025 release, but now we have a concrete date.
A teaser image accompanying the countdown shows a classic Verdansk scene: snow-capped mountains, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—a nostalgic trip back to the original map before Verdansk '84 and Caldera. Currently, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is the only way to experience this version of Verdansk. This announcement will be exciting news for many fans, especially considering the 2021 statement declaring the original Verdansk "gone and not coming back."

Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game, new weapons, operators, and a pricey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. Warzone, however, received less content than initially planned due to the team focusing on bug fixes, gameplay tuning, and quality-of-life improvements.
