Valheim's Traveling Merchants: Locations and Inventory Guide

Valheim's vast world is filled with challenging biomes and formidable bosses. To ease your journey, three merchants offer valuable goods. Their locations, however, are procedurally generated, making them tricky to find. This guide reveals their whereabouts and inventories.

Quick Links:

Haldor: The Black Forest Merchant

Haldor, often the easiest to locate, spawns within 1500m of your world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, accessible relatively early in the game. He's frequently found near Elder spawn points (identified by glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). For a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact coordinates. Once found, build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold, readily obtained from dungeons and selling gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.).

Haldor's Inventory:

Yule Hat 100 Always Cosmetic (helmet slot)
Dverger Circlet 620 Always Provides light

Hildir: The Meadows Merchant

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center, spawn points ~1000m apart). The Valheim World Generator is your best bet, or explore Meadows within that radius. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're nearby. Build a portal after discovering her location. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and unique quests. Complete these quests (involving various biomes) to unlock additional inventory items.

The Bog Witch: The Swamp Merchant

The Bog Witch, found in the treacherous Swamp biome (3000-8000m from the world center, spawn points ~1000m apart), offers unique crafting ingredients and meads. Again, the World Generator is recommended. Look for her Cauldron icon. She resides in a hut guarded by her magical Kvastur. Comfort level 3 is active within her hut.
