Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s new Buffer Weight Stock attachment is boosting the power of several weapons, but unlocking and using it isn't straightforward. This guide explains how to obtain and equip this coveted attachment.
Unlocking the Buffer Weight Stock
Unlike most attachments earned through gameplay, the Buffer Weight Stock is unlocked via the "Hit List" event. Access the "Event" tab in the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer main menu. Locate the "Community" section within the event; the Buffer Weight Stock will be listed there. Simply viewing this page unlocks the attachment (the community goal of eight billion eliminations has already been met).
Equipping the Buffer Weight Stock
While readily available after unlocking, the Buffer Weight Stock's use is limited. It's compatible with only three weapons: the XM4 Assault Rifle, the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, and the XMG Light Machine Gun. This limitation prevents the attachment from dominating gameplay.
To equip it, navigate to the Gunsmith for your chosen weapon (XM4, DM-10, or XMG). Select the "Stock" attachment slot and choose the Buffer Weight Stock. Its significant accuracy boost will provide a competitive edge in Multiplayer.
Unlocking the Buffer Weight Stock is a simple matter of accessing the event page, but its use is restricted to a select few weapons. Continue participating in The Hit List to unlock further rewards.
