Ubisoft finally patched incompatibility of AC Origins and Valhalla with Windows 11

We're back with another update on Ubisoft's ongoing challenges. While the company navigates some turbulent waters, there's some positive news: a long-standing issue has finally been resolved.

Ubisoft has successfully addressed compatibility problems between several Assassin's Creed titles and the Windows 11 24H2 update. Since at least Fall 2024, games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, among others, suffered malfunctions on the new OS. The solution? Fresh patches, announced on the Steam pages for Origins and Valhalla.

Player response has been overwhelmingly positive, with comments expressing relief and gratitude for the fix. This time, the issue stemmed from Windows itself, not Ubisoft's development, leading to a more forgiving reaction from the community. However, it's worth noting that recent reviews for both games remain "Mixed."

There's also cautious optimism surrounding Assassin's Creed Shadows. Recently delayed until March 20th to allow for further quality improvements, its launch is considered crucial to Ubisoft's future.
