Today's ID@Xbox showcase surprised fans with a visit from the mischievous Jimbo, bringing exciting news: Balatro is now available on Xbox Game Pass! And he's brought some new friends along for the ride.
The showcase trailer revealed a new "Friends of Jimbo" update for Balatro, adding a host of fresh face card customizations. These include characters and imagery from Bugsnax, Civilization, Assassin's Creed, Slay the Spire, Friday the 13th, and Fallout.
Previous "Friends of Jimbo" updates have featured beloved characters from *The Witcher*, *Cyberpunk 2077*, *Among Us*, *Divinity: Original Sin 2*, *Vampire Survivors*, and *Stardew Valley*. This is the fourth such update, and as before, it focuses solely on cosmetic additions—no gameplay changes here.But the big news is Balatro's immediate arrival on Xbox Game Pass. While previously available for purchase on Xbox, this makes the addictive card-slinging action even more accessible. Jimbo would be pleased.
