Stalker 2: Unlocking the Rare Cavalier Rifle Guide

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, allowing players to tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, and the Cavalier sniper rifle is a prime example. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it exceptionally effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire this powerful rifle.

Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle

The Cavalier can be found within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You may already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.

Locating the Warehouse

Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building itself to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Exercise caution; two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack on sight. Approach the greenhouse carefully to avoid confrontation.

Proceed through the greenhouse into the warehouse. Be prepared for a significant rat infestation upon entry. These rodents will inflict damage. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear for cover. A grenade is recommended to eliminate the swarm efficiently.

Retrieving the Cavalier

Once the rats are dealt with, focus on the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. Locate the yellow-painted wooden boards. Destroy these boards with your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.

After retrieving the weapon, safely exit Duga. Consider upgrading the Cavalier with Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced with upgrades and modifications. The Cavalier's red-dot sight makes it an ideal choice for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle, providing effectiveness in close to medium-range engagements.
