Netflix's track record with adaptations of its original series is mixed. While some, like the Stranger Things pixel-art adventure, have been successful, others haven't resonated as well. However, Squid Game: Unleashed aims to capture the excitement of the original show with a multiplayer battle royale experience.
The game features iconic scenarios from the series, plus new additions. It pits players against friends and strangers in a chilling, yet amusing, competition. Netflix seems to understand that a dedicated multiplayer audience can boost engagement and retention, even if other content fails to attract viewers.
