Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global community.
Two Months Remain
In-app purchases and Google Play Point exchanges have already ceased. The global launch in June 2020 saw a mixed reception, despite strong visuals and a generous gacha system. The game's lack of significant content updates, including the Solistia expansion and 6-star units available in the Japanese version, contributed to player dissatisfaction. This content disparity, present for nearly a year, ultimately influenced the game's global closure.
Community Reflections
This closure follows Square Enix's shutdown of other titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.
Romancing SaGa Re:universe, a classic turn-based RPG, offers players two months to enjoy its remaining content. If you haven't experienced it, now's your chance. Download it from the Google Play Store.
