Its popularity surged further with the recent Illuminate update, reintroducing a beloved enemy faction from the original game.
In related news, a film adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn is also in the works, a collaboration between PlayStation Productions and Columbia Pictures—the studio behind the successful 2022 Uncharted movie. Qizilbash offered a preliminary glimpse into this project, stating, "We are in the early stages of development for the Horizon Zero Dawn movie, but we can assure audiences that this world and its characters will receive their first-ever cinematic treatment."
