News
Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Bounty of Games
Nintendo's decision to combine two smaller showcases proved effective, delivering a flurry of announcements. While a complete rundown is impossible here, highlights include several surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Effect: Connected, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. I strongly recommend watching the video for the full experience. There's something for everyone!
Select New Releases
Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
A third Castlevania collection joins the fray, shadow-dropped during the Direct. It features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. Also included are the original arcade Haunted Castle (infamous for its difficulty) and a superior M2 remake. This collection offers excellent emulation and a wealth of features, making it an incredible value.
Pizza Tower ($19.99)
This Wario Land-inspired platformer sprints onto the Switch as another surprise release. Conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save your restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will adore this, but even those without strong Wario feelings should consider it if they enjoy fast-paced platforming. A review is pending.
Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)
The shadow drops continue! It's Goat Simulator 3. You know the drill. While performance on the Switch is unconfirmed, other platforms have experienced some issues. Proceed with caution, but even poor performance might add to the game's chaotic charm. Ultimately, it's up to you. Expect silly goats, silly antics, and potentially, a stressed-out Switch.
Peglin ($19.99)
While it's easy to criticize missed opportunities, EA's failure to bring PopCap games to Switch seems like a significant oversight. For Peggle enthusiasts, Peglin is a must-have. Previously available on mobile, this title blends Peggle mechanics with turn-based RPG roguelite elements. A full review is coming soon.
Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)
Kairosoft injects new life into its simulation formula with this Doraemon-licensed title. Manage a Dorayaki shop, featuring characters from the popular manga and anime. The license is well-integrated, even including cameos from the creator's other works. A charming addition to the genre.
Pico Park 2 ($8.99)
More Pico Park for existing fans. Up to eight players can participate locally or online. Cooperative puzzle stages demand teamwork and clever strategies. A solid sequel, but unlikely to attract new players.
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)
An affordable rhythm game showcasing Kamitsubaki Studio's music. Simple gameplay, but enjoyable at its price point.
SokoPenguin ($4.99)
A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin twist. One hundred levels of crate-pushing challenges.
Q2 Humanity ($6.80)
Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Utilize character abilities and drawing mechanics to solve problems. Supports up to four players locally or online.
