Potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A Release Date Leaks Online

Pokemon Legends: Z-A: August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

Rumors of a Pokemon Legends: Z-A release date surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This alleged date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025, aligns with The Pokemon Company's previously stated release window.

Announced during the February 2024 Pokemon Day celebrations, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Following the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, which prioritized collecting over traditional gym battles and the Pokemon League, details on Z-A have remained scarce since its unveiling.

The Amazon UK listing, quickly amended to a generic December 31 placeholder, briefly indicated an August 15, 2025 release. This leak, noted by content creator Light88, fuels speculation about the game's imminent arrival. The August date fits within the previously announced 2025 release window.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official Pokemon Legends: Z-A release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Similar to its initial announcement during Pokemon Day 2024, the 2025 event, anticipated for February 27th (the anniversary of the original Japanese Pokemon Red and Green release), is a likely candidate for the announcement. This date is supported by recent findings from a Pokemon GO data miner.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, another strong possibility for the February 27th Pokemon Presents broadcast.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A, initially confirmed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to the confirmed backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokemon games have featured paid DLC, Pokemon Legends: Arceus only received a single free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
