The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event brings Black and White Kyurem to Pokémon GO, along with a Shiny Meloetta! Learn how to catch and fuse these legendary Pokémon.
Black and White Kyurem Debut
Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic revealed the arrival of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta for the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to catch Kyurem and then fuse it.
Fusion requires:
- Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy.
- White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy.
Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates during the event.
A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these Pokémon for all players.
Shiny Meloetta Arrives!
Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire, allowing flexible completion.
Unova's Iconic Legendaries
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originated in Pokémon Black and White (Generation V). Kyurem's alternate forms, with their unique Ice Burn and Freeze Shock attacks, were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This event allows players to fully experience the Unova region's legendary Pokémon.
