Where to Find Bagon

Bagon Location in Pokemon Violet

While Bagon can appear in various locations in *Pokémon Violet*, East Province (Area Three) is a great starting point due to its size and numerous explorable caves. A guaranteed Bagon spawn exists on a mountain in South Province (Area Five), southwest of the bridge connecting the grassy and rocky regions. Dalizapa Passage, north of The Great Crater of Paldea, offers another possibility within its cavern system. Finally, 3-star Tera Raids (unlocked after obtaining three Gym Badges) provide a chance to encounter Bagon, potentially with its Hidden Ability.

How to Trade and Transfer Pokemon

Since Bagon is unavailable in *Pokémon Scarlet*, trading with a *Violet* player or transferring via Pokémon HOME is necessary. Union Circle trading requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Pokémon HOME allows transfers from various games, including *Pokémon Sword/Shield* (Expansion Pass), *Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl*, or directly from Pokémon HOME. What Level Does Bagon Evolve

Bagon evolves into Shelgon at level 30 and into Salamence at level 50. Auto-battling against appropriately leveled Pokémon, particularly Chansey (found in various locations), is an efficient leveling method. Alternatively, Exp. Candy (L, XL, or M) significantly accelerates the evolution process. Shelgon and Salamence can also be obtained from higher-level Tera Raids (4-star and 5/6-star, respectively).

Salamence, a Dragon/Flying-type pseudo-legendary Pokémon with a base stat total of 600, boasts high Attack and Speed. Adamant or Lonely natures are recommended for maximizing its physical attack. Its dual typing makes it effective against many Pokémon but leaves it vulnerable to Ice (x4), Fairy, Dragon, and Rock-type attacks. It resists Grass, Water, Fire, Fighting, and Bug-type moves and is immune to Ground.

Recommended Moves

Salamence's moveset leans toward physical attacks, given its higher Attack stat. Dragon Claw, coupled with Iron Head (TM099) to counter weaknesses, is a strong combination. However, a special attacker build using Draco Meteor and Flamethrower is also viable, requiring a Timid nature.
