What's the Pokémon GO Safari Ball All About?
Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games. These special areas allowed for catching rare Pokémon without battles. Niantic is recreating this experience with their new Wild Area event.
Pokémon GO hasn't introduced many new Poké Balls over the years. The standard Poké Balls, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, Premier Balls, and the coveted Master Ball are the usual suspects.
The Wild Area event will run globally from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. However, any unused Safari Balls will vanish from your inventory once the event ends.
During the event, the Safari Ball will be the key to capturing powerful Pokémon. It's intriguing that Niantic isn't introducing these balls in existing Safari Zone or City Safari events, opting instead for a brand-new event launch.
