The Greenhouse in *Stardew Valley* is a game-changer for any aspiring farmer aiming for agricultural greatness. Unlocking it—either by completing the Community Center bundles or opting for the Joja Community Development Form—opens up a world of year-round planting possibilities, bypassing the usual seasonal limitations of outdoor farming.
Once restored, the Greenhouse allows you to cultivate any crop, at any time, including lucrative fruit trees. These trees, once planted, provide a consistent source of income, unless removed. The Greenhouse’s layout offers space for 120 crops (on the inner tiles), plus 18 fruit trees along the outer edges. The inner area provides 10 rows and 12 columns of tillable land, leaving ample space for chests, Seed Makers, and other equipment.
How Many Plants Fits Inside?
Without sprinklers, you can fit 120 crops and 18 fruit trees within the Greenhouse. Remember, fruit trees require two tiles of space between them.
Sprinklers significantly impact your planting capacity, streamlining watering and saving you precious time. The number of sprinklers needed varies depending on the type:
- Quality Sprinklers: 16 needed, covering 12 inner tiles.
- Iridium Sprinklers: 6 needed, covering 4 inner tiles.
- Iridium Sprinklers (with Pressure Nozzles): 4 needed, covering 2 inner tiles; or 5 needed, covering 1 inner tile.
Strategic sprinkler placement (including the wooden border) maximizes your yield. With careful planning, the Greenhouse becomes a highly profitable asset, enabling year-round cultivation of up to 120 crops, dramatically boosting your farm's productivity.
