Atlus producer Kazushi Wada reiterates the unlikelihood of Persona 3 Portable's popular female protagonist (FeMC), Kotone Shiomi/Minako Arisato, appearing in Persona 3 Reload. This decision, explained in a recent PC Gamer interview, stems from significant development challenges and budget constraints.

FeMC Inclusion Deemed Unfeasible
The inclusion of the FeMC, even as post-launch DLC, proved too costly and time-consuming for Atlus. While initially considered alongside the Episode Aigis - The Answer DLC for Persona 3 Reload (a full remake of the 2006 JRPG classic released this February), the project was ultimately abandoned.

Wada stated that the development time and costs would be unmanageable, making the addition of the FeMC within the current release timeframe impossible. He apologized to fans who hoped for her inclusion, stating that it's highly improbable it will ever happen.
This sentiment echoes previous comments made to Famitsu, where Wada explained the significant hurdles, citing the development time and cost as several times greater than that of Episode Aigis.

Despite fan expectations for the FeMC's appearance, either at launch or as post-release content, Wada's recent comments solidify the low probability of her inclusion in Persona 3 Reload.
