Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is set to release its next major update, Rogue Frontier, on February 3rd. This update introduces a host of exciting new features, centered around a rebellious faction known as The Smugglers.
Outlands Adventures:
The Smugglers, tired of the Royal Continent's rigid laws, have established a presence in the lawless Outlands. They operate from hidden underground bases called Smuggler's Dens, which serve as vital hubs for players. These dens offer banking, repair services, and act as central points for the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system connecting various locations across the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the ongoing conflict between the Smugglers and the Royal Guards. Missions include rescuing captured Smugglers and delivering contraband within Smuggler Crates.
Rewards and New Items:
Show your loyalty to the Smugglers and be rewarded by Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens. Rewards include a Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a new avatar.
The Rogue Frontier update also introduces Kill Trophies, dropped by defeated players. The quality of the loot from the vanquished opponent directly impacts the chance of obtaining a trophy.
New weaponry adds a stylish edge to combat:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summons a chilling mist that repels enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Allows levitation and ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves as you dash into melee combat.
