Is this for real—or just an elaborate prank? The Office's Craig Robinson, a beloved comedy veteran, has announced a major life pivot: leaving comedy behind for "something huge."
"Life update: I'm officially stepping away from comedy to pursue my true passion," Robinson revealed in a cryptic Instagram video last week. "Stay tuned—something big is coming."
The brief video offered minimal explanation, leaving fans speculating. "Hey everyone! Wanted you to hear this directly from me—I'm retiring from comedy," the actor stated. "But not without purpose. It's been an incredible journey, you've all been amazing, but I'm chasing something greater. Thank you, I love you all—just wait and see."
Fans reacted with everything from heartbreak to skepticism—understandable coming from a comedian known for his deadpan humor. The announcement could easily be a joke itself, or perhaps clever marketing for an upcoming project.
Adding to the mystery, Robinson later hinted at entrepreneurial ambitions in a follow-up post. "Turns out visions and business realities are VERY different," he shared. "Can't explain yet, but seriously—any support would mean the world."
For now, the true meaning remains unclear—but consider us intrigued.
Best known as warehouse manager Darryl Philbin from The Office (appearing in 118 episodes), Robinson has also starred in Mr. Robot, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Bad Guys.
