Nintendo's Latest LEGO Collaboration: A Game Boy
LEGO Game Boy Arrives October 2025
Nintendo has revealed its newest partnership with LEGO – a buildable LEGO Game Boy! Launching October 2025, this marks the second Nintendo console to receive the LEGO treatment, following the successful NES set.
While thrilling for LEGO and Nintendo enthusiasts, the Twitter (X) announcement sparked a flurry of questions about the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. One humorous tweet expressed gratitude, stating, "Thanks for finally revealing the new console!" Another user quipped, "At this rate, a LEGO Switch 2 will be out before the actual console reveal!"
Although Nintendo remains tight-lipped about the Switch 2, President Furukawa's May 7, 2024 statement promised an announcement regarding the Switch successor within the current fiscal year (ending March). Fans will need to exercise patience.
Pricing details for the LEGO Game Boy are yet to be unveiled, but further information is expected in the coming weeks or months.

Beyond the NES LEGO set, Nintendo and LEGO's past collaborations have featured iconic characters from popular franchises such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda (TLZ).
In May 2024, LEGO released a 2,500-piece set depicting the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. This impressive "Great Deku Tree 2-in-1" set, priced at $299.99 USD, includes Princess Zelda and the Master Sword.
Two months later, a new Super Mario LEGO set emerged, showcasing a pixel art rendition of Mario riding Yoshi from Super Mario World. A rotating crank animates Yoshi's leg. This set is available for $129.99 USD.
