Netflix Games to Lose Two GTA

Big news for Netflix gamers! Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are leaving Netflix Games next month. This isn't a surprise; Netflix licenses games like movies, and these titles' licenses are expiring. A "Leaving Soon" tag will alert you before their December 13th departure.

Why the Departure? License Expiration.

The games arrived on Netflix Games exactly one year ago, marking the end of the initial 12-month agreement between Netflix and Rockstar Games. After December 13th, Netflix subscribers will no longer have access. If you're currently enjoying the mayhem of Liberty City or the vibrant streets of Vice City, it's time to finish up! However, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains available.

What Happens Next? Purchase Them!

Don't worry, you can still experience these classic GTA games! The Definitive Editions of Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are available on the Google Play Store for $4.99 each, or you can get the entire trilogy for $11.99.

Unlike the sudden removal of some games in the past (like Samurai Shodown V and WrestleQuest), Netflix is providing advance notice. This is interesting, considering the GTA trilogy contributed significantly to Netflix Games' subscriber growth in 2023.

There's speculation that Rockstar and Netflix are collaborating on potential remastered versions of Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and even Chinatown Wars. Fingers crossed that this rumour proves true!
