Moon Knight Will Return, but Not in a Season 2, Marvel Exec Says

by Ava Mar 17,2025

Marvel has plans for Moon Knight's return to the MCU, but a Season 2 isn't in the cards. Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum told ComicBook that while Oscar Isaac's character will appear again, it won't be in a second season of the Disney+ series. This shift reflects a change in Marvel Television's strategy since Moon Knight's 2022 release. Previously, the focus was on establishing characters through individual shows before integrating them into larger MCU projects, as seen with Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. Now, the approach is geared towards self-contained, annual releases, more akin to traditional television. Winderbaum expressed his desire for a Season 2, but confirmed alternative plans are underway for Moon Knight's future appearances. While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If...?, there's currently no news on a live-action return.

The MCU's upcoming TV slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recently, Marvel Television reportedly paused production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc., but Winderbaum indicated an exploration of a project reuniting the street-level heroes of The Defenders (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist).
