PlayStation announced this exciting collaboration on X/Twitter, giving us a sneak peek at how NetEase Games has reimagined this classic suit for their hero shooter. This sleek Spider-Man suit, originally designed for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, has appeared in all three games in the series. Its distinctive white spider symbol sets it apart, making this Marvel Rivals addition a truly surprising collaboration with Sony and their console-exclusive superhero game. Prepare to see Spider-Man's Advanced Suit 2.0 swing into the in-game store on January 30th, the same day Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on PC.
Marvel Rivals, launched in December, already boasts a wide array of unlockable suits. However, this Spidey suit is truly unique. Beyond its connection to the wildly popular PlayStation series, the Advanced Suit 2.0 will once again feature the voice talents of Yuri Lowenthal. Lowenthal voiced Peter Parker in all three of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games and lends his voice to Marvel Rivals as well. So, when you don this suit on January 30th, expect a familiar and authentic Spider-Man experience.
NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting element to the already impressive Season 1: Eternal Night Falls content released last week. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four as playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also promised at least one new hero every month and a half, so expect even more exciting additions to come.
