The arrival of Black and White Kyurem, two of the franchise's most popular legendaries, has been a long-awaited moment for many players. Following a surprise, brief appearance in 2023, their official debut is now confirmed.
The GO Tour: Unova event, running from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd, is the perfect setting for their introduction. This Unova-focused event makes their appearance a fitting addition.
Beyond simply catching them, players can also fuse Kyurem with other legendary Pokémon. Black Kyurem can fuse with Zekrom using 1000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy, learning the attack Freeze Shock. Similarly, White Kyurem can fuse with Reshiram using 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy, gaining the Ice Burn attack. These fusions are reversible at no cost. The necessary fusion energy is obtained by defeating Kyurem in raids.
Completing these fusions unlocks exclusive event backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both backgrounds grants access to a third, unique background.
