While we eagerly await the next major Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion, exciting events and card drops keep the fun alive. Here's your guide to obtaining the coveted Lapras EX.
Acquiring Lapras EX
Currently, a special Lapras EX event is running in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Engage in event battles against AI opponents using Lapras-themed Water decks to earn Promo Packs. These packs are your only source for Lapras EX.
Remember, this event concludes November 18th, so act fast!
Each Promo Pack contains a single card, with equal chances of receiving: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, or Lapras EX. While luck plays a significant role (you might get it on your first try, or after many attempts), targeting the Expert stage guarantees a Promo Pack after each battle, maximizing your chances. While other stages offer a chance at a pack, the Expert stage provides certainty.
Completing all stages rewards you with Event Hourglasses, allowing you to replenish your Event stamina and continue farming. If you have a Pikachu EX deck, you can even auto-battle the Expert stage, freeing you up for other tasks.
If you miss out before the event's end, don't despair! Trading is planned for a future update, opening up trading opportunities with other players.
