Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, many enriching the game's narrative and character development. This guide details how to begin and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
How to Start "Bad Blood" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After gaining open-world access in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, progress through the quest involving finding Mutt. An objective leads you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Henry will suggest checking with Bozhena.
Speak with Bozhena about Mutt. She'll reveal her daughter Pavlena is missing. Agreeing to help adds "Bad Blood" to your quest log.
Gather Information
Your investigation begins in Troskowitz. Talk to Bailiff Thrush, then Innkeeper Betty at the tavern. Learn about Bozhena, Pavlena, and the reasons for their village exile.
Next, speak with Woodcutter Dushko. He'll direct you to Roman's house. (Note: You'll need lockpicking skills; save beforehand.)
Search Roman's house, examine Pavlena's basket, and return to Dushko for more clues. He'll lead you to a clearing, a favorite spot for the couple.
Search the Scene
From Roman's house, follow the objective marker downhill towards the stream. Turn left at the large boulders to find a blood trail. This leads to Roman's body. Continue, speaking with Hogheard Hugo, then return to the Troskowitz farm and speak with Hired Hand Straw.
A successful dialogue check with Straw reveals information about Jakesh and the events surrounding Roman and Pavlena. You can then speak with Thrush to decide how to proceed with Straw. Finally, head to the rocks south of Zhelejov.
Confront Ota

Navigate the large boulder to find a path. Climb the ladder to discover Ota and Pavlena.
High Charisma is needed for successful dialogue. Convincing Ota to release Pavlena involves these options: "What's your name?", "Let her go and I'll let you go.", "I'll put in a good word for you with His Lordship." Pavlena will then kill Ota. Speak with Pavlena and return to Bozhena. Bozhena will then request you kill Jakesh.
Kill Jakesh or Make Peace

The final decision: kill Jakesh or broker peace. Find Jakesh at his child's grave. You can choose to kill him, speak with him, or even kill Bozhena to end the quest.
The quest concludes regardless of your choice. In one scenario, killing Jakesh lowers your Troskowitz reputation but significantly improves your standing with Bozhena and Pavlena, unlocking new dialogue and rewarding you with a necklace. Alternatively, sparing Jakesh and making peace earns you 100 groschen (which you can keep or share with Bozhena), restoring Bozhena and Pavlena to the settlement.
Should You Kill Jakesh?
Killing Jakesh lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but significantly raises it with Bozhena and Pavlena. You'll gain a new dialogue option with Pavlena and receive Roman's gift necklace.
Sparing Jakesh and making peace earns you 100 groschen (which you can keep or share). Bozhena and Pavlena are allowed back into the village.
