Important Note: The public test server is currently PC-only. It's not available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

Accessing the server is straightforward for PC players via Steam. Simply locate Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in your Steam library. The public test server will appear as a separate entry below the main game. (This only appears if you've purchased the game on Steam.) Download and install the test server—it has its own separate files.

The public test server offers new PvE and PvP content, including new and modified weapons and customization options. The majority of changes are in PvE, featuring a brand-new map, relaxed class weapon restrictions, and online gameplay tweaks. Remember, this content is a work in progress and subject to change before the official release.

Online gameplay improvements include enhanced matchmaking for both PvE and PvP, focusing on balanced teams. PvE matchmaking aims to prevent players from selecting the same class, and a prestige leveling system is included. PvP offers expanded lobby customization options.

Mods installed in the main game will not work on the test server. While you can create and customize content using available assets, it won't be saved to your main game. Currently, there's no confirmation on whether progress or content will transfer from the test server to the main game; it's not expected.
