F-Zero Climax, a Japan-Exclusive GBA Racing Game, Added to Switch Online + Expansion PackF-Zero: GP Legend and the previously Japan-exclusive F-Zero Climax will be available to subscribers starting October 11th.

Experience the Thrill of Futuristic Racing

The F-Zero series, a cornerstone of Nintendo's racing legacy, debuted in Japan over 30 years ago. Known for its breakneck speed and innovative gameplay, it pushed the boundaries of console technology in its time and is considered a major influence on other racing franchises.

Like its more famous cousin, Mario Kart, F-Zero features intense competition, challenging tracks, and thrilling battles between racers and their unique "F-Zero machines." The series' iconic protagonist, Captain Falcon, is even a celebrated fighter in the Super Smash Bros. series!

F-Zero: GP Legend originally launched in 2003 in Japan, followed by a worldwide release in 2004. F-Zero Climax, released in Japan in 2004, has remained a regional exclusive until now – making its debut on the Switch almost two decades after its initial launch. The game's designer, Takaya Imamura, has previously cited the success of Mario Kart as a contributing factor to the F-Zero series' long hiatus.

Race Your Way to Victory

With the October 2024 update to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack, subscribers can finally experience both F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend. Compete in various game modes, including Grand Prix, story mode, and time trials, to become the ultimate F-Zero champion.
