TouchArcade's Weekly Update Roundup: Noteworthy Game Updates
Hello, and welcome to another week of noteworthy game updates! This week, Shaun tackles a surprising number of free-to-play matching puzzle game updates. But fear not, we've also got some exciting titles outside that genre. Let's dive in! You can always check for updates yourself on the TouchArcade forums.
Peglin (Free): This week's coveted UMMSotW (Update Most Making Shaun Smile of the Week) award goes to Peglin! Version 1.0 introduces Cruciball challenges up to level 20, a new Slime Hive mini-boss, and numerous bug fixes, balance tweaks, and other improvements.
Brawl Stars (Free): Get ready for Brawl Stars time! SpongeBob SquarePants is joining the fray in a new event. Plus, expect the arrival of two new Brawlers: Moe (Mythic) and Kenji (Legendary), along with several new Hypercharges. This content will roll out over the next few months.
stitch: The relaxing puzzle game stitch receives an update, adding more Hoops levels with a martial arts theme (though the theme is secondary to the satisfying gameplay).
Genshin Impact (Free): Genshin Impact expands with the Natlan region and three new characters: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. Expect new weapons, events, stories, and artifacts.
Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure: This Apple Arcade matching puzzle game delivers 100 new levels and refreshed tournaments.
Jetpack Joyride 2: Barry Steakfries blasts off into space in this Apple Arcade update! (Let's just say there's a Tim Curry reference in there somewhere.)
Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop: New character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol are added to Adventure Mode, along with playable character Meena (without her own episode) and seven new music tracks.
Hearthstone (Free): Hearthstone introduces Battlegrounds Season 8: Trinkets & Travels, featuring the Trinket Shop and new Trinkets that impact gameplay.
Toon Blast (Free): Fifty new levels are available in a new episode featuring bees (or happiness, or both!).
Royal Match (Free): One hundred new levels and a new jousting arena arrive in Royal Match.
