InZOI’s Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's unusual and paranormal features. Players will have the unique opportunity to control ghosts, though this will be limited to ensure it complements rather than dominates the core gameplay experience. This ghost control mechanic is intricately linked to a karma system, which meticulously tracks the actions of characters and influences their future lives, extending its impact even beyond death.

The karma system, reflecting a character's deeds, will determine their post-mortem fate: they could either peacefully transition to the afterlife or become a ghost, doomed to wander the world of the living. To achieve final peace and leave the mortal realm, these ghostly entities must earn the necessary karma points.
In the early access version of InZOI, ghosts will be present, but players won't be able to control them immediately—this feature is slated for a future update. Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim emphasized that InZOI is fundamentally a game about real life, with paranormal elements introduced sparingly. However, he hinted at the possibility of incorporating other mysterious phenomena into InZOI down the line, adding an extra layer of intrigue for players.
