Indus by Supergaming Reaches Milestone

by Lucy Feb 11,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition follows another significant milestone: the game has surpassed 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for the Indian market, boasts a unique 4v4 deathmatch alongside standard battle royale features. A notable inclusion is the Grudge system, rewarding players for engaging rivals. Closed beta players can also enjoy enhanced audio with updated sound effects and music.

Initially announced in 2022, Indus has undergone several beta phases, consistently adding features and attracting a growing player base. This surge in pre-registrations is unsurprising, given India's expanding mobile gaming market.

Despite exceeding 11 million pre-registrations – a significant achievement – the growth rate has slightly slowed. The previous milestone of 10 million registrations was reached in March. While an additional million is impressive, it's not the rapid expansion seen earlier.

Anticipation for Indus's public launch is high. While new features are appreciated, the speculated late 2023 release didn't materialize. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
