Recent leaks for Honkai: Star Rail have unveiled the in-game animations for the highly anticipated character, Screwllum I (often shortened to Screwllum), the Mechanical Aristocrat. Since its April 2023 launch, Honkai: Star Rail's roster has expanded significantly with each update, introducing a wave of playable characters.
Honkai: Star Rail's current 2.3 update features the newly released Firefly, debuting on the first limited banner alongside the Harmony character Ruan Mei's banner rerun. The second banner phase showcases the Erudition character Jade and the multi-target DPS, Argenti.
Screwllum, previously introduced in the main storyline as a mechanical lifeform leading the resistance against Genius Society #27 (Rubert I), has been revealed via leaked animations by leaker fireflylover. These appear to be emote or menu animations, and it's important to note the data predates Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0, so in-game appearances may differ from the leaked footage.
Screwllum's Release and Abilities: Speculation and Leaks
Herta, another Genius Society member, has hinted at Screwllum's exceptional hacking skills, rivaling Silver Wolf's. This suggests his combat animations will likely incorporate hacking elements. Prior leaks indicate he'll be an Imaginary-type offensive character. His Skill will reportedly inflict multi-target Imaginary damage, scaling with ATK. His Ultimate is expected to decrease enemy Imaginary damage resistance while attacking all enemies.
Despite the hype, his release date remains unconfirmed. The recent Special Program didn't announce Screwllum, suggesting he's not immediately joining the roster. He's definitively absent from updates 2.3 and 2.4, with HoYoverse confirming Yunli and Jiaoqiu's arrival for 2.4. Yunli is anticipated for the first limited banner, and Jiaoqiu for the second.
