"Guide to Acquiring Trap Tools in Monster Hunter Wilds"

Slaying monsters is thrilling, but to gather every monster part for crafting your ultimate armor in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll also need to master the art of trapping. For this, you'll require Trap Tools. Here's your guide to acquiring them.

Where to Get Trap Tools in Monster Hunter Wilds

While *Monster Hunter Wilds* might not spell out the process of trapping monsters or obtaining Trap Tools, if you're familiar with the series, you'll catch on quickly.

Monster Hunter Wilds - Trap Tools Guide

Your primary source for Trap Tools is the Provisions Stockpiler NPC at your Base Camp. Just chat with him, browse through his inventory, and pick up the Trap Tools for 200 Zenny each. Stock up on these if you're planning on farming specific monsters or aiming to capture every monster the game has to offer.

Remember, Trap Tools can only be purchased at Base Camp; they won't be lying around in the wild like other resources.

How to Use Trap Tools

With your Trap Tools in hand, it's time to deploy them effectively. You can combine them with a Net (crafted from Spiderweb or Ivy) to create a Pitfall Trap, or use them with a Thunderbug Capacitor to fashion a Shock Trap.

Both types of traps are effective, but be mindful that some monsters are resistant to specific traps. For example, Shock Traps are futile against Rey Dau, a lightning dragon, making Pitfall Traps your go-to in such cases.

Also, note that you can only carry one Trap item at a time, so use them wisely when the monster is weakened.
