FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam. The game's unique selling point is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating unpredictable and diverse battles. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding a strategic layer to traditional FPS mechanics.
Players can select from 13 unique launchers, each boasting special abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk's online matches reward both teamwork and individual skill.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced an unexpected delay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions. Initially scheduled for March 6th, the launch was postponed two days prior due to unforeseen technical issues. A new release date remains unconfirmed, but the developers assure players of ongoing updates.
