FF7 Remake and Rebirth Update Mends Controller Woes

Patches for Final Fantasy VII Remake are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. This update resolves controller vibration issues stemming from motor malfunctions. The game follows Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER, as he joins Avalanche to prevent Shinra Electric Power Company from destroying the planet.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, continuing the story after the escape from Midgar, receives update 1.080. This update refines the game's atmosphere and enhances the tactile experience for a more realistic feel. The PC version launches January 23, 2025. This second installment of the trilogy expands the narrative and emphasizes exploration.

While Final Fantasy XVI initially underperformed in May 2024, sales eventually plateaued, ultimately falling short of projected financial targets. Specific sales figures remain undisclosed. Similarly, Square Enix has not released sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which also missed internal projections.

Square Enix clarified that they don't consider Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a complete failure. Furthermore, they remain confident that Final Fantasy XVI can still meet its goals within the planned 18-month timeframe.
