Starting "Battle of Frogs and Mice" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek or Olbram. Finish either quest, and the next one will become available. Simply talk to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Once started, head to the pasture to proceed.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

Henry faces another tough choice. While you can choose a side, there's a better way to resolve the conflict (detailed below). To side with Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" in Tachov. To side with Olbram, tell him "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" in Zhelejov. During the pasture negotiations, a successful dialogue check might cause an enemy to flee, making the fight easier. Winning the fight earns you some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

To achieve a more peaceful resolution, speak to Prochek or Olbram before going to the pasture and ask about ending the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and talk to Bailiff Thrush. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace." A successful dialogue check allows you to read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room (or sneak in if you fail the check – save beforehand!). Speak with the scribe and choose, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Nail

At the pasture, find three oak trees in a row. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:

  • Leave it in the middle: Equal division of the pasture.
  • Place it in the west tree: More land for Tachov.
  • Place it in the east tree: More land for Zhelejov.

The choice doesn't significantly impact the outcome. After placing the nail, speak to Bailiff Thrush again; he'll agree to end the feud. Then, speak with Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture and finalize the peace. You’ll receive the Master Studies I book from Bailiff Thrush as a reward.

That's how to end the feud in "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Check out The Escapist for more game tips!
