Uncover the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!
Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to unravel the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery further complicated by the recent revelation of a previously unknown sibling.
Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after a team split, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging you to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore stunning, albeit uniquely rendered, environments. The game's aesthetic blends influences from Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the chilling works of H.P. Lovecraft. Alameen cleverly utilized a mix of 2D and 360-degree imagery, even for the meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, resulting in visually rich gameplay accessible to a wide range of PC hardware.
My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available.
