Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge to reach. This guide details the methods to overcome this obstacle and explore the island's mysteries.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, are visible using Spirit Vision. Crossing requires overcoming broken sections. Several options exist:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleportation across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable individual character traversal. This is limited by party skill sets.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation skills to reach the other side, then the rest teleport using the pyramids.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is deceptive.
-
With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He can unlock the waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), the others teleport to them using the second pyramid, and then resurrect the companion. This is less efficient than using the bridge.
Important Considerations:
-
Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. A quick save is recommended before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
-
If Fane is absent, the bridge method is generally faster and safer.
