Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game is already removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the title before servers are permanently closed.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Kabam recommends players focus on completing the remaining storyline before the game's closure.

Despite initial excitement, the game's long beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The demanding shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, further hindered sustained engagement. However, the game's character designs consistently received praise for their creativity and visual quality.

The Unexpected EOS Announcement

The recent EOS announcement, following a new story update and the introduction of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior, shocked many players. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
