This guide details how to get the Lady Vengeance sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves several steps and puzzle-solving.

Quick Links

After removing your Source collar, you'll find yourself on the Lady Vengeance. To set sail, you must find an unconventional method to control the ship. Explore the ship, speak with NPCs, and gather clues. The key is accessing Magister Dallis' cabin and reading the Ancient Empire Songbook.

Investigate Dead Bodies

Begin by searching the bodies of the magisters and ghouls on deck. A dead magister holds a Sodden Diary containing a password for a stateroom door. You can also obtain the password by successfully completing a skill check with the northern stateroom door. You'll also need a Strange Gem to interact with the Portside Stateroom door. A magic mirror (south of the stateroom doors) allows respeccing characters, useful for skill checks.

Find the Portside Stateroom Door

Using the password from the diary (or skill check), access the ship's quarters. Interact with the unconscious Bishop Alexander to find a Strange Gem. Use the gem and the password ("Fortitude") to unlock the southern stateroom door. This leads to Magister Dallis' cabin. The cabin also contains a hidden hatch with ghouls and a Teleportation Prism.

Find the Songbook

Inside Dallis' cabin, speak with Tarquin and Dallis thoroughly. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before setting sail, as interaction becomes impossible once the ship departs.

Set Sail

Return to the deck and tell Malady about the songbook. She'll ask you to sing to the ship. Find the dragon figurine to the west and sing the song. The Lady Vengeance will begin to sail. Be prepared for a challenging battle with magisters immediately afterward. Ensure your party is well-equipped and has sufficient companions.
