NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique YoRHa designs, but one stands out for Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.

Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata

The Engine Blade awaits within the factory, but not during the game's opening. You'll need to progress as 2B and revisit the area. Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides a quicker route. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.

Exiting the access point, veer right, following the path into a 2D perspective section. Navigate past a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and ride conveyor belts. Avoid the crushing presses on the second belt. Jump to the next cylinder, engaging spider-like enemies.

Enter the door to your left, climbing more stairs while dodging exploding enemies. A railing ends midway, with an extending platform. Proceed towards the camera to trigger another 2D platforming sequence, jumping across presses to the left. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest. More exploding enemies will descend as you approach.

Engine Blade Stats In NieR: Automata

  • Combo: Light 5, Heavy 3

This weapon boasts four upgrade levels, culminating in a 7-hit light combo (requires finding Masamune). Unlike the Iron Pipe's unpredictable damage, the Engine Blade offers more consistent damage output.
