Conquer the King of the Monsters in Fortnite! Godzilla stomps onto the Battle Royale island, offering one lucky player per match the chance to control the iconic kaiju. This guide details how to become and defeat Godzilla.
Becoming Godzilla:
Beginning January 17th, 2025, a rift will randomly appear on the island in each match. Be the first to locate and enter this rift to transform into Godzilla.
Find a portal ➡️ become Godzilla!
Once transformed, unleash Godzilla's devastating abilities: the Roar (reveals nearby players), the Mighty Stomp Attack (knocks opponents back), and the powerful Heat Ray. However, be warned: the entire lobby will be hunting you!
Defeating Godzilla:
For the 99 players who didn't become Godzilla, the challenge is on! Epic Games has strategically placed weak points on Godzilla. Focus your fire on these areas to trigger the drop of Godzilla Fragments, providing 40 health and three dash charges.
Mobility is key! The recently unvaulted Rail Gun is a powerful weapon, but any high-rarity weapon will help. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla earns the Godzilla Medallion (with a dash ability) and the exotic Burst Quad Launcher.
Even if you don't become Godzilla, defeating him offers a rewarding experience and bragging rights.
